Miley CyrusBiking is a fun, eco-friendly way to travel, get things done, burn some poundage and just be with your friends. It’s a great activity for families, couples, or people who want to be alone. So why don’t all of us do it?

Sadly, most of us lead such chaotic lives that we feel like we may not have time to bike where we need to go. And while many people do use public transportation to help the environment, there are still lots of people who have to commute quite a distance for work and need to use a car.

That said, we can all still find some time to bike for fun! These celebrities do, after all…

Miley Cyrus—With Miley’s quirky “save the environment” YouTube series, you know the girl’s gotta have a thing for biking.

Will Ferrell—We know will rides on camera, at least.

Madonna—The Material Girl knows what kind of material the eco-conscious mama needs for today’s travel.

Elvis Presley—Dead or alive, The King likes to have something besides a woman beneath him—like a bike!

Sarah Michelle Gellar—This scream queen does her grocery shopping on her cute pink bike. Nixing the car and the plastic bag? Nice!

President Obama—If it’s stylin’, you know the president is in on it. And check out the safety gear, kiddies!

Emma Thomson—OK, so she’s not really riding one here, but she’s practically promoting it—even in clothes that aren’t really fit for riding.

Elle Macphereson—What model has ever been prettier than one with a bike?

Albert Einstein—If he knew it was a good idea, we know it must be so.

Sting—Looking sleek and stylish, Sting rides his bike in Paris. (Is it just me, or does that guy seem to reverse in aging like Benjamin Button?)

Billy Zane—This actor’s horn is sort of childish—but I love it. Go, Billy’s inner child, go!

George W. Bush—OK, so he may just usually pose beside a bike. But this picture seems legit—and at least it might give his fans the idea to take to the open road motor-less.

Audrey Hepburn—You want to have class? Go biking Audrey-style. (She looks like she could give Judy Garland a run for her money in The Wizard of Oz in this photo, doesn’t she?)

Jessica Alba—While she may not look so happy about having her picture taken, Jessica’s heart’s surely glad that biking is her mode of travel.

Robin Williams—The guy could probably make us laugh about all things bicycle-related, but here he’s hamming it up in Lance Armstrong’s Ride for the Roses.
